Creating a common approach to project management for an international organisation

Following a successful management buyout, a global power organisation needed to integrate four new businesses into its company culture and establish a standard process for project management that could be applied internationally. This process needed to ensure each country applied the same rigorous approach while being flexible enough to allow for regional requirements, cultures and reflect existing good practice wherever possible.

The development team worked closely with the client team to develop a visual tool that defined step by step processes, methodologies, available tools, and recommended procedures for the management of projects throughout the organisation. Every stage of development was thoroughly explored with the client to ensure continuous buy-in to the new approach.

The new tool was successfully implemented across four continents on time and to budget.
